This quality vacuum vice is made from hard-wearing diecaset aluminium. The vice consists of three-pieces; a vacuum base, ball joint clamp and a 75mm opening jaw with removable soft rubber jaw covers. The 'V' grooved jaws are ideal for holding cylindrical and irregular shapes, making it well suited to small bench jobs such as model building, jewellery making and general PCB/chassis work. The multi-positional ball swivel allows the jaws' working position to be varied through a full 360deg axis. Stands approximately 160mm tall.

Very good value for the money, but needed work.

GrantSeptember 2026

I've owned this for nearly a month. It's great for the price, but does have a few issues. Obviously it will only suction to non porous surfaces. I have it mounted to a glass table top. Initially it lost suctioned after an hour, turns out the glass table top was covered in slight dimples. Wiping the rubber suction pad and table with water, the vice has now been suctioned solid for a couple of weeks on the same table top. It just needed some effort to really push it down while turning the suction cup lever. My vice was missing the steel washers between the screw clamps and aluminium frame. The washers are shown in the online pictures, but were not on the unboxed product. I moved an existing washer from the inside of the jaw to the outside, for the main clamp, and found my own washer to fit under the swivel clamp. This is a significant issue as otherwise there's only a small shoulder on the steel clamps clamping directly into the softer aluminium chassis. The other issue I had was one of the steel jaws was not mounted properly. The jaw on the clamp side. It could not sit flush and was cockeyed down at an angle due to the aluminium frame not being clearance properly. No good. I had to file down the top few mm of aluminium frame edge in order the steel jaw to sit flush. I've been using this vice to hold a fairly small 203mm bar, electric chainsaw by the bar for sharpening the chain. It is plenty strong enough for that. The swivelling function is very handy. I would buy again, even with the issues.
