Do you accept Afterpay?

Yes, Jaycar accepts Afterpay for orders up to $4,000. Just choose Afterpay at checkout, and you'll be redirected to log in or create an Afterpay account, with a fast approval decision, to complete your purchase.

Important things to know

  • Afterpay will show during checkout for orders of $20 to $4,000 (including any applicable delivery costs)
  • You cannot use Afterpay to purchase Jaycar Gift Cards or digital vouchers and credits

How it works

Afterpay lets you make purchases now and pay for them in 4 payments over 6 weeks, interest-free.

Online Web

  1. Add your items to cart
  2. Select Afterpay as your payment method at checkout
  3. You'll be redirected to log in to, or create an Afterpay account
  4. Your payment schedule will be displayed
  5. That's it. Your purchase will be split into 4 payments

In-store In Store

  1. Download the Afterpay app
  2. Set up your Afterpay Card (you'll need to follow the prompts to add it to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet)
  3. Check your available spend, then activate the Afterpay Card in the Afterpay app and pay using Apple Pay or Google Pay
To set up an Afterpay account, you'll need to live in Australia or New Zealand, be over 18 years of age, have an Australian or New Zealand debit or credit card, have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number, and be capable of entering into a legally binding contract. Credit checks apply.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a service that lets you make purchases now and pay for them in 4 payments over 6 weeks, interest-free.

How does the payment schedule work?

You may be required to make your first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you can do so through your Afterpay account.

How do I return or exchange an item purchased with Afterpay?

If you change your mind, bring your item in-store and we'll process a refund as outlined in our Returns & Warranty guide. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refund. This can take 3 to 7 business days to appear back in your account. See the Afterpay FAQs for more information.

Are there any fees for using Afterpay?

There are no fees or interest when using Afterpay, as long as you pay on time. If you miss a payment, Afterpay will charge a capped late fee that starts at $10 but never goes higher than 25% of the purchase price or $68, whichever is less.

Afterpay does everything it can to help you avoid late fees, including sending reminders leading up to the payment due date and an alert after a payment has failed. For more information, see Afterpay's Terms of Service.
