Quadrature encoded rotary encoder with pushbutton can be used to provide an intuitive interface to your next project. Similar to the interface found on many 3D Printers. PCB mount with five terminals. Thirty detents/ fifteen pulses per revolution. Encoder has two SPST contacts sharing a common, pushbutton switch is SPST/NO.
• Shaft with flat for grub screw
• Three terminals for rotary encoder
• Two independent terminals for pushbutton
• Two large mechanical lugs for PCB mounting

Decent component, not a drop in module
Decent product, integrated well into my project which required a rotary encoder for incrementing numbers. Connect the outer pins on the 3 pin side to the middle through 100nF capacitors, then wire the middle pin to ground. The two pin side can be used for the pushbutton. I used the library ESP32Encoder as I was using a TTGO TDisplay esp module, and I debounced the pushbutton with a 50ms delay. Four stars because of documentation.
Poor compnonent
No info in the data of any use. 30 detents with 15 pulse per rotation makes this irritating to use in an Arduino project. Very noisy outputs require denouncing or each click triggers multiple counts. Not worth the time.
