A challenge to program

DaveNovember 2024

I found this difficult to program, took me 3 or 4 tries with resetting after each failure. I think I have it right now but time will tell. I only have 1 electricity tarrif and it kept displaying tarrif 2 which I didn't set and don't want. There's no backlight & the display is not so easy to read unless the angle of the light is just right.

OK, but poor design

AndyWSeptember 2026

Used for 2 days so far. Measures W, A, V, kWh fine. Only 3 stars because of annoying problems that could have easily been avoided: (1) not designed for Aus powerpoints - it's "upside down" so the meter's body obscures the powerpoint switch; (2) not designed for Aus double powerpoints - it's too wide so can't use the second power point; (3) "reset" button only works with a long thin thing, not a pen; (4) inability to set $/kWh, probably due to software bug. What a shame that these could have all been avoided with a few minutes of thoughtful design!
