With this Elegoo Dryer Box, wet filament is behind more failed prints than most people realise. If your PLA snaps off the spool, your PETG strings everywhere, or your nylon prints come out fuzzy and weak, moisture is the likely cause. The Elegoo H1 HT fixes that.

It heats up to 85°C, which is hot enough for engineering materials like PA (nylon) and PC as well as everyday PLA and PETG. Most budget dryers can’t do that. The spool turns slowly while it dries, so heat reaches the whole roll evenly instead of just the outer layers. Two automatic vents open to let damp air out during the cycle, then close to keep fresh moisture from getting back in.

You set it up on a 3.5" touchscreen. Pick one of 11 filament presets, or set your own temperature and time. You can also print straight from the dryer. A separate bypass outlet suits TPU and carbon/glass-fibre filaments, so flexible and abrasive materials feed smoothly without wearing out the main path.

It’s not tied to any one brand. It works with virtually any FDM printer, Elegoo or otherwise.

Features:

  • Dries at up to 85°C, so it handles PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, PC and more
  • Auto-rotating spool gives even drying through the whole roll
  • Dual automatic vents release humid air, then close to keep moisture out
  • 3.5" touchscreen with 11 filament presets plus custom settings
  • Bypass outlet for TPU and fibre-reinforced filaments
  • Print directly from the dryer using the included PTFE tube and fitting
  • Safety features: overheat protection, flame-resistant inner shell, lid-open detection, fan fault detection and audible alerts
  • Open compatibility with virtually all FDM 3D printers

In the box:

  • H1 HT filament dryer
  • PTFE tube
  • Pneumatic fitting
  • 2 x desiccant packs
  • Power cord
  • Manual

How to use:

  • Load your spool, close the lid and choose the preset that matches your filament.
  • Let it run the full cycle. Engineering filaments like nylon and PC need much longer than PLA.
  • To print straight from the dryer, feed the filament out through the PTFE tube to your printer.
  • Use the bypass outlet for TPU or CF/GF filaments.

Pro tips:

  • Brand-new filament isn’t always dry. Nylon and PC can pick up moisture in the factory or on the shelf, so give them a cycle before their first print.
  • Listen to your extruder. Popping, crackling or steam coming off the nozzle means the filament is wet.
  • Check the drying temperature on your filament’s label against the preset. Going too hot on PLA can soften the spool or fuse the spool.
  • Keep the desiccant packs fresh and store dried spools in a sealed bag or box, so you’re not drying the same roll every week.
