This module has an on-board ceramic antenna meaning you don’t need an external one, however, an SMA connector is also attached if you wish to attach your own antenna to improve reception. The micro USB interface enables you to debug the GPS module via a data cable, and a reserved serial port interface for USB-to-serial port modules or external MCU enables you to easily receive the GPS data.

Note: When connecting an external antenna the C2 capacitor on the module needs to be removed. If the internal and external antennas are used together they will interfere with each other, affecting positioning.
